What is Coaching?



Coaching is a developmental process where a coach supports you to achieve specific personal or professional goals by providing facilitation, support and guidance. It’s collaborative - the coach and coachee work together as equals to agree and build the skills, knowledge and actions required to make progress toward the desired goals and outcomes.

Coaching helps you see new possibilities, find alternative pathways, decide what’s most important, all while keeping your focus along the way. It enables you to tap into the answers you already have within, while also challenging you to go further than you imagined possible. You’ll come away knowing yourself better, with the ability to think creatively and make lasting positive change. It goes deeper than surface level improvement but unlike therapy, focuses on the here and now, rather than healing the past.

This can take many forms, but some of my areas of expertise are switching careers, finding a new job, career progression, leadership and managing a team, managing upwards, parenting and improving relationships, stress management and work/life balance.
